The Equisimulator at Fir Tree Farm Equestrian Centre is one of only three in the UK. It has been developed over a number of years and is the brainchild of Heather Moffett. Design and construction has been carried out by Jonathan Broughton-Heyes.
The Equisimulator allows June to show her students the precise movements of the lower back and pelvis, hands on, so that they can learn how to mirror the horse`s movements and therefore rider and the horse move together as one. This teaches the student how to adhere to the saddle, enhancing safety and enjoyment and most importantly saving the horse the discomfort of the rider bouncing about on his back. When the student learns to move with the horse, they can then feel where their legs are and the sequence of footfalls which in turn allows them to feel their rising trot diagonals and simplifies the timing of their aids. Riding becomes effortless!

Adjustable settings allow practice in walking, trot and canter.
